– Man keeps warning friend over adultery with wife
– Takes law into his hands when friend refused to change
An unidentified man in Ondo state has been murdered by his friend, Moses Alugo, for repeatedly sleeping with the latter’s wife.
According to The Nation, Alugo, a middle aged man, was said to have continuously warned his friend to desist from the act of sleeping with his (Alugo’s) wife but the former refused to heed the warnings.
This later infuriated the man as he took laws into his hands to deal with his friend by himself, resulting in the demise of the ‘adulterer’ in Odo Aye area of Okitipupa local government area of the state.
People of the community where pandemonium erupted after the incident, were said to have buried the victim at Akinpelu camp, Ode-Aye before the police got a wind of the incident.
Femi Joseph, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who confirmed the incident, informed that members of the community quickly buried the deceased before his officers could get there.
While describing the incident as unfortunate, the police spokesperson said the case has been transferred to the state CID for further investigation, and warned the people against taking laws into their hands.
This incident is also similar to that of Lukman Jimoh who is presently in police custody after allegedly killing his friend who had accused him of an affair with his wife.
According to The Punch, Jimoh, popularly known as Oyeolorun in the Mushin area of Lagos state was arrested after a fight between him and close friend, Remi Oloyede, aka Ora, resulted in Oloyede’s death.
Oloyede’s ears were reportedly cut off as Jimoh also stabbed him in the neck and eyes during a fight on Adedoja Street, Mushin.
Jimoh also sustained injuries, and after the incident was taken to a clinic but was later arrested by police officers from Alakara division.
