The long anticipated Android 6.0 marshmallow update for Tecno Camon C8
has finally arrived with lot of marshmallow features integrated.
However, this update has been made official and features integrated
include Google now voice commands, modified lockscreen, notifications
and quick settings, cool app drawer, system UI tuner, fixed security
patches, Google Now on Tap, Google settings app, doze mode, optimized
batter manager, RAM manager and lots more.
If you’ve already rooted your Tecno Camon C8, you’re advised to unroot
it, read guide on how to unroot android device that would walk you
through the unrooting process. Once your device is unrooted successfully, then you’re safe to update your Tecno Camon C8 to android 6.0 marshmallow.
You can upgrade Tecno Camon C8 using either SP flash tools method or Tcard flash method. In this guide, I’ll quickly brief you on how to update your camon c8 using the Tcard flash method. Its way more preferable compared to sp flash method.
How to Manually Update Tecno Camon C8 to Android 6.0 Marshmallow
2. After that, transfer the downloaded file “Tcard_update_20160415” to the root of your SD card. Don’t transfer to any folder, just copy/move to the root of your SD Card.
3. Now power off your Camon c8 device.
4. Once your tecno camon c8 is powered off, hold Power + Volume Up button simultaneously till you get to the startup logo, then you’ll get to android logo after releasing the power button as seen in the image below.
5. Once you’ve gotten to the android logo, simply press volume up button and you’ll get to the next interface as seen in the image below.
6. With the help of the volume down button, scroll to “Apply update from SD card” and use the power button to select the option.
7. Next, select “Tcard_update_20160415” and use the power button to enter selection.
Once your Tecno Camon c8 is rebooted successfully, you’ll begin to experience Android 6.0 marshmallow update along with HiOS. Now, you can enjoy the flexibility, durability, and every other enjoyable feature on the marshmallow operating system.
