Access granted to Journalists covering activities of President Muhammadu at the State House, Abuja would be temporary restricted during the visit of the United States Secretary of States, John Kerry, Tuesday, Vanguard learnt on Monday.
This is part of the security measures taken by the authorities to ensure a hitch free visit of the America powerful personality.
According to the schedules, Kerry in the course of his official functions would be meeting behind closed doors with President Buhari for bilateral discussions geared towards cementing the bonds holding Nigeria and United States of America.
It was also learnt that the American secretary would meet with 5 governors from the northern part of the country after the talks with Buhari.
Only Videographers and photojournalists would be granted access at the arrival of the Secretary at the forecourt of the Villa as well as the meeting at Grey room of the President’s office.
No Reporter, it was gathered, would be allowed outside of the Press Gallery located beside the Council Chambers throughout the period of Kerry’s stay in the Villa.
It was also learnt that Kerry would not have any audience with Journalists on the conclusion of his visit to Aso Rock.
But while the details of the meetings were not made available as at press time, it was believed that issue of insurgency in the north east may feature prominently.
