Godwin Obaseki, the All Progressives Congress (APC) party candidate in
the gubernatorial election in Edo State, has won the contest in the
two-way race with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), winning most of
the votes. Pastor Ize-Iyamu of the PDP came second in the votes collated
and announced by INEC.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, announcing collated
results across the state, said APC won 13 of the state’s 18local
government areas. More details to come
