President Buhari Appoints Kpotum Idris As New Police IG

Following the retirement of Solomon Arase as Inspector General of the Nigerian Police Force, President Muhammadu Buhari has announced his replacement.

Former Assistant Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Kpotum Idris has now been elevated to the rank of Acting Inspector General of Police. Kpotum Idris is from Niger state and his appointment is subject to Senate confirmation.
