Three big-name footballers are on the brink of revealing that they’re
gay. That’s according to SNP MP John Nicolson, who is a member of the
Commons Culture, Media and Sport Committee. He claims the trio are in
talks with the FA to come out publicly, thus becoming the first current
players to do so.
He said: “I understand there are three players in talks with the FA about coming out, and they haven’t done so yet.”
The revelation came as MPs grilled Sports Minister Tracey Crouch about the support that was available for homosexual stars.
Meanwhile, Sports Minister Tracey Crouch has taken aim at FA chairman Greg Clarke after he said that he “wouldn’t recommend” any players to come out in the current climate.
