Barcelona star Gerard Pique has revealed the lame chat-up line which he used in winning Shakira over -as he gave hope to single men around the world...The Barcelona and Spain star has been with the Colombian pop princess for six years after they met ahead of the World Cup in 2010.

The pair who have two children together -met during the filming of her video for her song Waka Waka. Pique revealed they first started talking about the weather when they met
The Spanish defender told an interview in Spain:
"She arrived in South Africa before us because she was singing at the opening ceremony. I sent her a text asking how the weather was because we were arriving in a few days."
Not exactly thrilling, is it? But it worked. He continues;
"This is a typical stupid question that you write and normally get a response like, ‘it’s cold, bring a coat’. "But the she writes a long paragraph, detailing the change in temperature throughout the day. "I thought, ‘Jesus, this is not normal’. It was in those details that I could tell there was affection."
And it turned out that Shakira proved to be Pique's inspiration behind Spain's World Cup victory. He continues:
"We started messaging each other throughout the tournament, but the only chance I would have of seeing her would be at the final because she was performing the closing ceremony. "I told her that if I had to reach the final to see her I would do so. And that was the second time we met, after the World Cup Final."

Micheal Ajereh Collins, Nigerian music producer and artiste better known as Don Jazzy, has said that foreign artistes are scared to make music with him. He said this while speaking in a recent interview conducted by Boiler room in collaboration with British Council. “Most of these American artistes would call you, they believe you have something that they like, so they call you to come and try something out”, Don Jazzy said. “A bunch of people that I have tried to work with or have tried to work with me chicken out at the end of the day because they aren’t really ready for the music change; they want me to tweak it till it gets back to their sound. “I can give you your sound, but then, you called me for something and then I try to give to my sound and I want you to do your thing on top of it which would give the sound a wider recognition but they say they aren’t ready for this switch drastically. I think they are still scared.” The 33-year-old Mavin boss said he started paying more attention to music during the Kennis Music era. “I would say I started listening more during the Kennis music time because after Storm records, then it was a time for Kennis music and they came with Tuface, Remedies and all. “At that point, I was still in secondary school and I was like “Yo! They were putting a lot of swags into this my work”. So I started taking note of the music and it started shaping me into what I would like to do but then, there was no way for me to do it.” Don Jazzy also said that Nigerian music is designed to make people happy during their struggles. “Everyone is struggling; we all have a problem in the country but there are sometimes when we need that peace of mind. “While some people are consciously trying to make you aware of what is going on in the struggle, there should be other people that would keep you happy when you are going through the struggles and that is where we come in.”

Singer and politician, 9ice and lover, Olasunkanmi Ajala,posed in stunning family photos to mark their daughter, Princess Halimat Michelle 's second birthday . The singer has three other children. A son with ex-wife, Toni Payne and twin girls with an Abuja based lady. Beautiful family..
Popular stand-up comedian, born Bright Okpocha, better known as Basketmouth, has shared his opinion on the negative influence of the social media on celebrities especially on marriages. He said celebrities have turned the social media into a church to settle family issues, adding that they now use social media to wash and dry their dirty linens. Speaking with Hip Tv, the father of two said, “I am okay with people who go on social media to rant but I am against those who have turned it into a church to settle family issues. “It is wise for you not to bring out your personal issues on social media and that’s what I stand for. “Normally, if you have a marital problem, you call your wife one on one. If you cannot contain it, you call in the parents. That’s how I saw it when I was growing up which is the culture I have embraced.” He cited an example with the marriage feud between popular singer, Tiwa Savage and her estranged husband, Teebillz which broke the internet recently. He said, “In Teebillz’ situation, the way he spoke on social media really appeared as though he was going to commit suicide and said horrible things to his father. “Those words were words you say and just die, but now that he is still alive, how would he face his father? It would have been better if he had just written a letter to the man instead of putting it online. “Unfortunately again, he went to blast his wife and his wife’s mother. These are things that shouldn’t be put online. Another thing is that Tiwa has a larger following than Teebillz, after Tiwa blasted him, it was extreme and it crushed him. He had no comeback; there is no comeback to things like that. “If it is a clap back at an artiste like yourself, then it is your choice. Once it gets to family, let those ones be in your house, let your Instagram and twitter group be between you, her father, her mother and herself,” Basketmouth added.
Nigeria's legendary DJ Jimmy Jatt and daughters are celebrating with his wife who held her 50th birthday celebration today.. The couple celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in March 2016. Beautiful family !
Actress turned producer Chioma Okoye was attacked at her home on Saturday, August 13, by four ladies led by a woman who alleged the movie producer made a movie out of her life. The women allegedly threatened Chioma's life and promised to be back if she did not take down contents from her popular drama series "Lagos Men" currently making waves on her recently launched online platform. The drama series is said to be partly fictional and partly true life stories. Below is how a source in the know explained the issue to GistHit The woman and Chioma Okoye met three years ago through a mutual friend. The woman had been invited to Chioma Okoye's house for drinks and after a couple of shots opened up about the chaos in her marriage. Exposing how her husband constantly sexually harasses her underaged daughter to the point of getting her pregnant at some point. The woman sought Chioma's help as an entertainer to expose her unrepentant husband's evil deeds as she was tired of fighting him over it. Chioma had advised her to seek help from Child Protection Services but that as an entertainer would use her voice as an artiste to expose the deed. This happened in 2014. Chioma had gone ahead to write the story into her LAGOS MEN script. Now the drama series is out and gathering momentum and that sparked rage from the woman who had probably moved on. Hence the attack. Shortly after the physical attack on Chioma Okoye, she received a phone call from a supposed policeman from Ajah Police Station . On getting to Ajah Police Station, the Policeman who identified himself as Officer Chuks cajoled Chioma to take down the content of her drama series in exchange for the sum of 3M naira. The woman is said to be on the run as Chioma has filed a case bothering on Threat to Life.

The recent birthday celebration of reigning Most Beautiful Girl In Abuja, Queen Debbie Douglas is not only touching but indeed endearing to the Nigerian community. As people flamboyantly mark their birthdays, the undergraduate of Nasarawa state University decided to spend it with the less privileged and mothers on wheelchair who are mostly muslims.

The light skin model turned beauty queen who emerged winner of the 15th Edition cooked food massively that she shared to them around the National Mosque at central area, Abuja. It was indeed an emotional sight as most of them scampered to get access to the food irrespective of the presence of the media - NTA, AIT, Leadership news, blogs etc.

The project Director, Hon. Ejiro Okphiwo who also spoke to the press, said that it was necessary to reach out to those that do not have as a way of marking a special birthday for the queen. They also gave them cash and proposed to get them more wheelchairs on a later date. As at writing this, nationwide audition has commenced with the next to hold on 13th August at Randekhi Gold Hotel Poolside, GRA Benin City, Edo State.
