Desiigner – Panda (Afrojack Remix)

Desiigner made a strong entrance into the rap scene in 2015 with “Panda,” whose ascension to the #1 spot in the Billboard Top 100 made him the second youngest to earn that title aside from Lorde. Seeing an opportunity to boost his relevance with a festival mix, Afrojack just dropped his edit of the clip on his SoundCloud. The Dutch producer created a simplistic festival trap soundscape around the original, opting only to use a small clip of Desiigner’s verses in the beginning before inserting thundering bass and rolling drums and sharp synth melodies. The clip falls short in maintaining the caliber creativity present in “Panda,” but will likely be a hit in his sets this summer.
